A New Exhibition of Royal Fashion
For the first time in 25 years, Princess Diana's wedding dress will go on display at her former London home, Kensington Palace, as part of an exhibit of royal fashion. Diana's wedding dress has been in the private collection of Prince William and Prince Harry since her death, and features a 25 foot long train, over 10,000 mother of pearl sequins, and panels of antique lace originally belonging to Queen Mary. The exhibition will also showcase a number of other items that have never before gone on display to the public and intends to showcase the partnerships that develop between the royal family and their designers. The exhibition opens on June 3rd, just about a month before the unveiling of a new statue of Diana to honor what would have been her 60th birthday, and will run though January of 2022.
This exhibition is a must-see for those who love fashion as well as those interested in the royal family and can easily be worked into any London itinerary. With the possibility that it may never again be exhibited for the public, for those who are interested this really is a can't-miss exhibition.
If you wish to include a visit to the exhibition on your travels this summer - including those who are traveling on our Cotswolds tours - we would be delighted to arrange tickets for you.
